'Frost Burn' is the new single from Half Waif. The second focus track from form/a EP - released as a limited edition 12” on 24 February via Cascine - the beautifully eerie cut sees singer Nandi Rose Plunkett challenging the listener, suggesting the embrace of pain rather than eschewing it. Plunkett is a touring member of the bubbling indie band Pinegrove and this solo project shows off her depth of talent as a musician as gritty, hypnotic keyboard work gives way to a bucolic, fairytale feel, bolstered by intricate electronic production. "It's a way of saying: no matter how much of a circle I draw around myself," she explains, "no matter how much separation I create between me and my environment, I am still affected by the dark forces that are a part of me.
